Steff Affleck — Pilates

Steff Affleck runs classes on Monday Evenings plus Tuesday & Friday Mornings at Rowney Green Village Hall.
She enjoys helping others to discover how to improve their physical health and mental well being through the progressive challenges that the huge repertoire of exercises provides, lengthening and strengthening muscles and improving posture.  Focussing on functional fitness –fitness for life – incorporating:

  • standing posture and balance
  • improving gait (walking)
  • seated work, mat work

Paula Sprigg – Pre-school Playgroup

Paula and her team run two playgroup sessions per week:

  • Mondays 10.00am – 12.00pm
  • Wednesdays 10.00am – 12.00pm

The main hall is generously set up with a whole range of stimulating toys, mats and other tactile experiences. Parents are encouraged to stay and socialise. Drinks and snacks are available

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Community Groups (CG) – typically run by and/or on behalf of RG Village Residents, qualify for a discounted rate by contributing to the running of The Village Hall – specifically – ”Contributing to periodic work parties and organising fund raising towards purchase of facilities, not considered to be part of normal maintenance but as an asset intended for use by their group”.

Each GC can nominate a representative to attend Village Hall Management Meetings.

Community Groups must be non-commercial and non-profit making

RGVH HorticulturalRowney Green Horticultural Society

An amateur gardening group, meeting in the evening, monthly on second Thursday at the Village Hall for talks and demonstrations. An annual dinner is also on the calendar.
Visits to gardens are arranged and a Flower and Produce Show is held annually on the first Saturday in September.
New members and visitors are always welcome.

Flower ClubRGVH Flower Club

Rowney Green Flower Club is open to all ages, male or female. A friendly group that meets on the fourth Thursday of each month to watch demonstrations by a professional flower arrangers. The arrangement is split and raffled at the end of the demonstration. Some members are enthusiastic flower arrangers, others are happy to watch!
