The Hayward Trust is a charity that was formed in 2000 to look after, in perpetuity for the village, a 2.5 acre meadow in Rowney Green that was gifted to the village by a former resident. There is a pedestrian gate to enable open access for people to walk in the meadow which has been named as Hayward Meadow

It is an ideal vehicle for further parcels of land to be owned/cared for on behalf of the village.

The field is topped annually and new fencing has been erected as well as a bird hide and picnic tables
Over 30 species of wild flowers have been documented so far plus numerous butterflies and birds. Roe and Muntjac deer are regular visitors.
